About Doobie (Good Doobie)
Doobie’s DNA test stated that his ancestors were Australian shepherd, German shepherd dog, Golden retriever, Labrador retriever, and husky. He is an All- American mixed breed with so much to offer! When some people describe their perfect dog, the dog they are describing is Doobie. He is seven years old, 60 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, on heart worm prevention, and micro chipped. He is gold/tan in color, with black and white, dark eyes with liner and a black nose. Doobie is very intelligent, eager to please, very obedient, sensitive, and very fit. He knows tricks of sit, down, shake, high five, and gentle. He is great going for a walk on lead. His original mom was a therapist, and he sometimes went to work with her at hospitals and nursing homes, although he is not a registered therapy dog.
Doobie is the brother of Cali, also in our rescue group, and both were sadly given up due to a child’s allergies. We prefer that Doobie and Cali are adopted together, as they are closely bonded. They would be a wonderful addition to a dog-loving family. While both will bark at the door when someone is coming, they crate together, snooze together and play together. They both get on the furniture, as they have for years, but are not at all destructive.
